This is Beatrice Pride

This is Beatrice Pride. Her family and friends call her Bea. She is twelve years old and her birthday is on 21st March, the first day of spring.
Beatrice is British, but she lives in Portugal with her family. She has a brother Douglas (10) and a sister Clare (6). They wear their dark* school uniforms. The three children attend Saint Dominic’s International School in S. Domingos de Rana. Bea’s favourite subjects are English and Drama. She is a talented actress and her diction* is very good. In fact, she is one of the voices* on the cassette of the “Stars” course.
Bea is very supportive* of her brother and sister. She helps them with the computer when Mrs. Pride can’t do that because at seven o’clock and she is cooking dinner. As for Mr. Pride, he is still working. Oh listen, Woof and Jumbo, the family dogs, are barking* happily. Mr. Pride is arriving*: he is parking his car in the garage. (...)
The Prides have got four pets: two dogs, a cat (Minnie) and a turtle* (Slow). They love animals and nature. Beatrice is even a member of Lifewatch, an organization of British youngsters* interested in helping wildlife* all over the world.
Bea and her family like living in Portugal because the people* are friendly, the sky* is blue and the weather is lovely!
